Report on International Aspects of Biological Warfare

Item Details

Title

Report on International Aspects of Biological Warfare

Topics

Prepared by CBW to discuss the relationship between BW and arms control and to discuss the role of BW in actual warfare

Date

1947

Conclusions

BW should not be classified as a WMD, and actually is safer because it doesn't damage property and doesn't have to kill people. Regulating BW use is essentially impossible and the US shouldn't sign anything that would have them regulate BW R&D.
