Item Details
Title
USBWC Report of Meeting, December 28, 1944
Topics
This is a report of a meeting of the US Biological Warfare Committee (USBWC) including some British military representatives.
Date
1944
Conclusions
The US and British have identical BW policies. They discuss the possibility of using certain agents against Japanese crops but do not want to risk retaliation or infecting an area they may want to occupy. The British say that "N" (anthrax) is the only agent which they would consider employing against Germany. Both countries agree that further research and development must continue as a deterrent.
