Conclusions
The existence of chemical and biological weapons contributes to international tension and spurs the arms race that threatens the security of any nation. Chemical and biological weapons are uniquely dangerous as they only attack living matter and are unconfined in their effects on the balance of nature. Because of their unpredictability, no defense system could ever be completely secure, so the only solution is disarmament.
