Defense Against Biological Attacks Vol II
Item Details
Title
Defense Against Biological Attacks Vol II
Topics
Volume II provides high-level overviews of the biological agents that are most commonly associated with biodefense activities. Additional chapters present the status quo of antibacterial and antiviral therapy and diagnostic development.
Date
2021
Conclusions
The following pathogens are considered for their biosecurity threat: neurotropic viruses, human viral hemorrhagic fevers, Variola virus, Anthrax, Brucella, B. mallei and glanders, B. pseudomallei, C. burnetii, F. tularensis, Y. pestis, and biotoxins. Biotoxins could be considered threat agents when they have high morbidity/mortality and there is poor countermeasure availability.
